PAIN MANAGEMENT |

PAIN,
ARTHRITIS AND INJURY: Millions of people suffer from pain, arthritis and injuries. The standard medical treatment has been to prescribe medications which mask symptoms, giving patients a false sense of relief. Although pain relief is important, ignoring the underlying cause of the pain allows the damage to progress. Jupiter Institute of the Healing Arts offers pain relief without the excessive use of pills, injections or surgery. The Institute utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach that combines Internal Medicine with Chiropractic Manipulation, Chinese Acupuncture, Physical Therapy and Nutritional Guidance to ensure comprehensive evaluation and treatment to our patients. Our goal is relief.
The Pain, Arthritis and Injury Program begins with an initial medical evaluation and treatment by our Internal Medicine physician (Daniel Nuchovich, MD). He will orchestrate each patient's care with the appropriate members of the Institute pain management team: our Physical Therapist (Tim Toward), our Chiropractor (Dr. Etienne Dubarry) and our Chinese Acupuncturist (Dr. Pau-Jan Chi). The Institute's team reviews x-rays, formulates a treatment plan and action is taken immediately. During a single visit to Jupiter Institute of the Healing Arts, patients may be treated by multiple experts. Team members meet weekly to discuss progress and treatment options for patients. We also emphasize the role of good nutrition, vitamins and supplements to speed the body's healing process. The Institute's integrated approach minimizes the use of prescription drugs though short-term use of medications are prescribed when warranted. Dr. Nuchovich developed the Institute's Pain, Arthritis and Injury Program after taking courses and consulting with experts at major academic centers and pain organizations including: Georgetown University, John Hopkins Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Northwestern University and University of Maryland. Our interdisciplinary team approach is key to the successful treatment of our patients. Studies confirm that patients receive more relief with this type of treatment plan.
When recommended by our pain management team, we will arrange for a prompt MRI, CAT Scan, X-rays or an appointment with an Orthopedic Doctor or Neurologist.
Our methodology provides relief. After a thorough evaluation to determine the causes of a patient’s pain, the Institute staff will educate the patient on the findings, propose and implement a customized multi-therapy treatment plan. LINKS Medical
conditions require the advice of a medical doctor.
